ECGC Limited

ECGC Limited (formerly known as Export Credit Guarantee Corporation of India Limited) is a government-owned export credit agency under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India. Established in 1957, ECGC was created to strengthen the export promotion drive by covering the risks associated with exporting on credit. 

ECGC plays a crucial role in supporting Indian exporters by offering insurance protection against payment risks, providing guidance in export-related activities, and making available information on different countries with its own credit ratings. Additionally, ECGC assists exporters in recovering bad debts and provides information on the creditworthiness of overseas buyers.
