Adani Enterprises Gets NCLT Approval for Jaiprakash Associates Resolution Plan – March 2026 Update
Ahmedabad, March 17, 2026: In a major development in the Indian corporate sector, Adani Enterprises Limited has been officially recognized as the successful resolution applicant for Jaiprakash Associates Limited by the Hon’ble National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT), Allahabad Bench. The tribunal pronounced the order approving the resolution plan submitted by Adani Enterprises today, March 17, 2026.
The resolution plan, originally submitted on October 14, 2025, with subsequent clarifications provided on November 5, 2025, now moves towards implementation. Adani Enterprises, along with other affiliated entities including Adani Power Limited, Adani Infra (India) Limited, Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Limited, Karnavati Aviation Private Limited, and Mandhata Build Estate Private Limited, may execute the plan directly or through special purpose vehicles in accordance with the approved framework.
This follows an earlier disclosure made by Adani Enterprises on November 19, 2025, regarding its issuance of a letter of intent to acquire Jaiprakash Associates. The detailed written order from NCLT is awaited, which will allow Adani Enterprises to proceed with full implementation under regulatory compliance.
Jatin Jalundhwala, Company Secretary & Joint President (Legal) at Adani Enterprises, confirmed the oral pronouncement and stated that the company will comply with all subsequent formalities as required under the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.
This strategic move by Adani Enterprises consolidates its presence in the infrastructure and energy sectors and represents a significant milestone in the ongoing corporate restructuring landscape in India.
