Adani Green Energy Reports 48% YoY Growth in Operational Capacity in 9M FY26

New Delhi:  Adani Green Energy Limited (AGEL) has released its provisional operational update for the first nine months of FY26, reporting significant growth in its renewable energy portfolio.

The company’s operational capacity reached 17.2 GW, a 48% year-on-year increase, driven by greenfield additions totaling 5.6 GW. Of this, 3 GW came online in 9M FY26, compared to just 0.4 GW in the same period last year, representing over 90% of the total annual addition for FY25.

AGEL’s energy sales also rose 37% YoY, reaching 27,636 million units, nearly equivalent to its annual energy sales in FY25. Solar, wind, and hybrid portfolios achieved plant availability of 99.1%, 95.5%, and 98.5%, respectively, with capacity utilization factors of 23.7% (solar), 29.2% (wind), and 34.8% (hybrid).

The company has strengthened its global position in renewable energy, ranking No. 1 in Energy Intelligence’s Annual Global Top 100 Green Utilities Rankings for 2025, up from third place. AGEL has also integrated the Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD) framework, reinforcing its sustainability initiatives.

AGEL continues its strategy to expand its renewable energy footprint, aiming for 50 GW by FY30, with operational projects spanning Gujarat, Rajasthan, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, and Uttar Pradesh.
