Banaras Hindu University signs MoU with TATA Consumer Products Limited

A Significant Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) is signed between BHU, and TATA Consumer Products. The Department of Dairy Science and Food Technology (DSFT), Institute of Agricultural Sciences (IAS), Banaras Hindu University (BHU), saw Mr. Vikas Gupta, Global Head of R&D, TATA Consumer Products, and Prof. Arun Kumar Singh, Registrar, & Senior Professor BHU and Prof. U. P. Singh, Director Institute of Agricultural Sciences, BHU, signed the MoU; other witnesses included Head, Department of Dairy Science and Food Technology, BHU, Mr. Anil K. Chauhan.

The TATA Research Fellowship Program is meant to assist academics dedicated to provide creative ideas in the domains of food processing and sustainability. This esteemed initiative supports multidisciplinary research and innovative breakthroughs in food technology and related disciplines.

After effectively completing two rounds of thorough interviews and evaluations, Ms. Ishita Nag, a research scholar from Department of Dairy Science and Food Technology, BHU, was chosen for this sought-after fellowship.

There were fifteen meritorious students included in the assessment, hence the choosing process was quite difficult. The fellowship will give the chosen candidate three years or until their Ph.D. program is completed financial aid. This appreciation emphasises Ms. Ishita Nag's extraordinary academic background, research passion, and will to further dairy and food technological expertise.

This achievement reaffirms BHU’s commitment to academic excellence, research innovation, and impactful contributions to science and industry. It is a proud moment for, BHU and TCPL a milestone in strengthening academia-industry partnerships for a better and sustainable future.
