New Delhi 17 March 2026: Bharti Airtel Limited has received a notice from the Department of Telecommunications (DoT), Andhra Pradesh LSA, imposing a Rs. 6.83 lakh penalty for alleged violations of subscriber verification norms during the January 2026 Customer Application Form (CAF) audit.
In compliance with license requirements, Bharti Airtel ensures proper customer verification before enrollment. The company has opted not to contest the penalty and will make the payment as directed. The financial impact is limited to the penalty amount.
