Force Motors Limited listed on BSE under code 500033 and on NSE under symbol FORCEMOT has announced the appointment of Lt Gen Vinod Gulabrao Khandare Retd as an Independent Director on its Board with effect from January 29 2026 subject to shareholder approval.
The appointment was approved by the Board of Directors based on the recommendation of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee in compliance with Regulation 30 of SEBI Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements Regulations 2015.
Lt Gen Vinod Gulabrao Khandare has been appointed as an Additional Director designated as Independent Director for an initial term of five consecutive years. The company has confirmed that he is not debarred from holding the office of Director by SEBI or any other regulatory authority.
Lt Gen Khandare is a highly decorated retired Indian Army officer with nearly four decades of service in defence and national security. He has held several senior positions including Principal Adviser in the Ministry of Defence Military Adviser at the National Security Council Secretariat Director General of the Defence Intelligence Agency and Deputy Chief of Integrated Defence Staff.
During his career he played a key role in advising the highest levels of government on strategic decision making and national security matters. He has been awarded the Param Vishisht Seva Medal Ati Vishisht Seva Medal and Sena Medal by the President of India for his distinguished service. He has also received the Army Chiefs Commendation Card and Army Commanders Commendation Card.
Force Motors stated that Lt Gen Vinod Gulabrao Khandare is not related to any Director of the Company. The disclosure has been made in accordance with SEBI Listing Regulations and the SEBI Master Circular dated November 11 2024.
The appointment is expected to strengthen the Board of Force Motors by bringing deep expertise in leadership governance risk management and strategic planning.
