G K Singh to join as New DG & CEO of IICA
Gyaneshwar Kumar Singh (IP&TAFS: 1992) has assumed charge as the new Director General and Chief Executive Officer of Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs (IICA).
The IICA is a think tank under the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India. Singh has extensive experience in a variety of fields, including public policy, e-government, corporate law, insolvency, finance, corporate social responsibility, ESG reporting, and capacity building.
He has held several important positions in the past, such as CEO of the Investor Education and Protection Fund Authority (IEPFA), Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, and Member of the Governing Body of the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India (IBBI).
From 2019 to 2021, he was also appointed by the government to the Central Councils of the Indian Institute of Company Secretaries and the Indian Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.
Notably, he also served as IICA's DG and CEO from 2017 to 2018, during which time he oversaw an incredible transformation of the organisation that made it financially independent.
