The event's theme, “Driving Innovation and Growth in India’s Chemical Industry,” was a call to action. It relied on key insights from the CTIER (Centre for Technology, Innovation and Economic Research) Innovation Report, "Industry in India: Followers or Leaders?" which was officially launched at the summit. The report offers a data-driven look at how leading Indian R&D firms compare to their global peers. It serves as an important guide for future growth.

Speakers and panelists at the summit noted that the Indian chemical industry must move beyond being just a backend producer. It needs to become a global leader in developing sustainable and scalable chemical innovations. This requires improving R&D capabilities, building stronger links between industry and academia, and speeding up digital adoption throughout the entire value chain.

The discussions highlighted that the journey toward a sustainable and globally competitive chemical industry has already started. As people declare the "dawn of India's decade of chemistry," the focus is on a strategic and collaborative effort to transform the sector from within. The ideas and conversations sparked at the summit are expected to drive significant change, shape new policies, and highlight the need for collective action to reach this ambitious goal.
