Mumbai, 24 Feb 2026: Infosys (NSE, BSE, NYSE: INFY) has successfully implemented a large-scale data modernization program for CSX Corporation (NASDAQ: CSX), a leading North American rail-based freight transportation company. This initiative consolidates CSX’s fragmented legacy data systems into a single, cloud-native platform designed to drive AI-powered insights and improve operational efficiency.

The transformation was executed using Infosys Topaz™, an AI-first suite of services and solutions, alongside Microsoft Fabric and Microsoft Purview. It represents one of the largest generative AI-enabled data modernization programs in the transportation and logistics sector.

Key Highlights of the Transformation

  • Unified Data Platform: Legacy systems across multiple business units were consolidated into one governed, cloud-based environment.

  • Automated Governance: Metadata management was automated across 28 domains, covering more than 170 data products.

  • Actionable Analytics: Over 50,000 legacy reports were consolidated into 1,200 actionable insights, enabling faster, AI-driven decision-making.

  • Operational Savings: The project generated significant annual infrastructure cost reductions for CSX.

  • AI-Ready Capabilities: The platform lays the foundation for predictive analytics, logistics optimization, and enterprise-wide operational intelligence.
