Oriental Rail Infra’s arm bags Rs 2.93 crore Southern Railway manufacturing order
Oriental Foundry, a subsidiary of Oriental Rail Infra, wins a Rs 2.93 crore order from Southern Railway to supply 826 coupler body units. Stock gains nearly 2 percent after the update.
Oriental Rail Infrastructure gained 1.89 percent after its subsidiary, Oriental Foundry, secured a Rs 2.93 crore order from Southern Railway. The contract covers the manufacture and supply of 826 Coupler Body units with Shank Wear Plates. Payment terms include 95 percent release against the inspection certificate and the remaining 5 percent after final acceptance by the consignee.
The company stated that the order does not qualify as a related-party transaction, as neither promoters nor promoter-group members have any interest in the awarding authority.
Oriental Rail Infra manufactures a wide range of railway components, including seats, berths, coated upholstery fabric, plywood products, resins, and foam materials. In Q2 FY26, the firm reported a 2 percent rise in consolidated net profit to Rs 10.67 crore, while revenue declined 28.33 percent year-on-year to Rs 133.39 crore.
