Reliance Linked to Historic $300 Billion Texas Oil Refinery Project Announced by Trump
Reliance Industries, led by billionaire industrialist Mukesh Ambani, has been named as a potential investment partner in a massive oil refinery project in the United States that could become one of the largest energy investments in history.
The announcement was made by Donald Trump, President of the United States, who revealed plans for a $300 billion refinery project to be developed at the Port of Brownsville in Brownsville, Texas.
Major Energy Investment Plan
According to Trump, the refinery will be developed by America First Refining, with investment backing from Reliance Industries. He described the project as the first new oil refinery to be built in the United States in nearly 50 years.
Trump shared the announcement on the social media platform Truth Social, calling the development a “historic deal” and a major step toward strengthening American energy production.
He also thanked India and Reliance for their support, stating that the partnership reflects growing economic cooperation between the two countries.
Potential Boost for Energy Sector
If implemented, the refinery is expected to significantly increase U.S. refining capacity and generate thousands of jobs in the region. The project could also strengthen the country’s energy infrastructure and reinforce its position in global energy markets.
Reliance Yet to Confirm
While the announcement has generated significant attention, Reliance Industries has not yet officially confirmed its participation in the project.
However, the news triggered positive investor sentiment, with Reliance shares reportedly rising during trading on BSE Limited.
Industry analysts say that if the project moves forward, it could become one of the largest refinery investments ever announced in the United States energy sector.
