RMC Switchgears has received a significant Letter of Intent (LOI) from the Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Prasaran Nigam Limited (RRVPNL), which is the state's power transmission agency. This letter is for a new construction project.

The contract is worth Rs 42.23 crore and represents a major win for the switchgear engineering company.

 

Project Details and Scope  
Client: Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Prasaran Nigam Limited (RRVPNL).

Project Location: A new 132 kV Grid Sub-Station (GSS) at Kalyanpur (Pachpadra) in the Balotra District of Rajasthan.

Contract Type: The project will follow a Supply, Erection, Testing, and Commissioning (ETC) approach.

Scope of Work: The full scope includes:

- Supply of all necessary equipment and materials.
- All required erection work, including civil works.
- Final testing and commissioning of the complete system.
- Integration of all related lines and bays.

Completion Timeline: The project must be completed within 18 months.

RMC Switchgears focuses on switchgear engineering and carries out ECI (Engineering, Construction, and Installation) contracts for the power distribution and transmission sectors.

Financial Context  
The contract win follows a strong financial performance for RMC Switchgears:

Q2 FY26 Net Profit: Increased by 87.9% year-on-year to Rs 19.15 crore.

Revenue from Operations: More than doubled, rising by 130.1% to Rs 241.09 crore in Q2 FY26 compared to the same quarter last year.

Despite this good news, the company's shares fell 2.18% to trade at Rs 544 on the BSE.
