The order imposes a penalty of Rs 12,72,899, along with the required tax demand and interest. This issue involves alleged Input Tax Credit claims from the financial year 2018-19.
The company has stated that it disagrees with the order and will take steps to correct or challenge the demand. The maximum financial impact reflects the penalty, tax demand, and interest as noted.
Vodafone Idea has informed the BSE and NSE about this matter under Regulation 30 of SEBI Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements. The company stressed that it is actively addressing the situation and will pursue all legal options to ensure compliance and protect shareholder interests.
