IIM Jammu Inspires School Students with Academic Visit and Campus Tour 2025

Indian Institute of Management Jammu organised an academic visit and campus tour for students from Army Public School Miran Sahib and Gurukul Public Higher Secondary School Reasi on December 5 2025, offering young learners first-hand exposure to management education and world-class academic infrastructure.

The delegation from Army Public School comprised 46 students from Classes XI and XII, accompanied by Ms Jaspreet Kaur and Ms Shivali Kumati. Gurukul Public Higher Secondary School Reasi was represented by 26 students of Classes XI and XII, led by Shri Jawahar Pandita, Chairman and Principal, along with teachers Ms Pratibha Jamwal and Mr Vishal Kumar.

The visit commenced with a warm welcome at IIM Jammu’s iconic Clock Tower, followed by a guided tour of the campus including the Grand Reception Area, Mandapam Auditorium, Vedanta MDP Block, Smart Classrooms, Nalanda Library, Rangmanch Amphitheatre and Jalpan Kendra. At the Vedanta MDP Centre, the students were introduced to the institute’s Executive Education and Consultancy initiatives and professional training programs. They also viewed the campus-scale model highlighting IIM Jammu’s future expansion and infrastructure development plans.

During the academic interaction session, students were briefed on IIM Jammu’s academic programs and its Centres of Excellence, which foster innovation, research and social impact. The visit to the Nalanda Library showcased the institute’s digital resources, advanced learning spaces and Bloomberg Terminals for real-time financial analysis, reflecting its global education standards.

The delegation watched audio-visual presentations on IIM Jammu’s journey since its inception in 2016, its rapid academic growth and its contribution to nation-building. They were also introduced to the institute’s official website and social media platforms to remain informed about admissions, scholarships and student initiatives.

Participants were briefed on IIM Jammu’s dual international accreditations BGA Institutional Accreditation and EFMD Programme Accreditation for its MBA programme, placing the institute among the top five IIMs in India with this distinction and making it the only second- and third-generation IIM to achieve it. The institute is also progressing towards AACSB Accreditation, which will position it among the world’s elite Triple Crown Accredited business schools.

The visit concluded with an interactive session where students explored career opportunities in management, entrepreneurship, finance, analytics and leadership, and learned about IIM Jammu’s community engagement initiatives across the Himalayan region. The programme was coordinated by the Media and Publication Division of IIM Jammu.
