BEML Delivers Record-Breaking Q4 FY25 Performance with 12% Surge in Net Profit

BEML achieves highest-ever net profit and expands with new facilities in MP and Chhattisgarh
Bengaluru – BEML Limited, a leading engineering and manufacturing PSU under the Ministry of Defence, has announced its financial results for the fourth quarter and full year ended March 31, 2025, marking a historic performance with record profitability and strong operational execution. During the fourth quarter of FY25, BEML reported a net profit of RS 288 crore, representing a 12% year- on-year growth over the RS 257 crore posted in the same period last year. Profit before tax stood at RS 395 crore, rising 14% from RS 348 crore in Q4 of FY24. Revenue from operations for the quarter reached RS 1,653 crore, reflecting a 6% increase compared to RS 1,514 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year. The company’s EBITDA also saw a significant 14% growth, rising to RS 427 crore from RS 375 crore.
For the full financial year, BEML reported a marginal dip in revenue, closing at RS 4,022 crore as against RS 4,054 crore in FY24. However, this was offset by a strong improvement in operational efficiency and profitability. The company achieved a record profit before tax of RS 405 crore, up 6% from RS 383 crore last year, while net profit rose 4% to RS 294 crore from RS 283 crore—marking the highest annual net profit in the company’s history. Annual EBITDA also increased by 9%, reaching RS 531 crore, and EBITDA margin improved to 13.20% from 11.98% in the previous fiscal.
Commenting on the results, the Chairman and Managing Director of BEML said, “Our strong FY25 performance reflects BEML’s focus on operational excellence, innovation, and nation-building. As we step into a strategic growth phase, we’ve secured land in Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh to establish new facilities for Rail & Metro and Mining & Construction equipment. These plants will boost our capacity, reinforce self-reliance, and align with India’s vision of becoming a global manufacturing powerhouse”.
