New Delhi:
State-owned telecom PSU Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited (MTNL) has announced the closure of its trading window in compliance with the SEBI (Prohibition of Insider Trading) Regulations, 2015, as amended.

In a regulatory filing to the stock exchanges, MTNL informed that the trading window for dealing in the company’s securities will remain closed from January 1, 2026, and will reopen 48 hours after the declaration of the unaudited financial results for the quarter ended December 31, 2025.

During the closure period, designated persons and their immediate relatives, as defined under the company’s internal code of conduct and SEBI regulations, are prohibited from buying or selling MTNL shares. The restriction applies to individuals who, by virtue of their role and responsibilities, may have access to unpublished price-sensitive information (UPSI).

The move is a standard regulatory measure aimed at ensuring transparency, fairness, and compliance with insider trading norms during the financial results review process.
