POWERGRID Q2 Net Profit rises 9 pct. to 2571.10 Crore Total Income grows by 6 pct. to 9260.46 Crore on Consolidated Basis

New Delhi: Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID), a ‘Maharatna’ Enterprise under Ministry of Power, Government of India, has posted a net profit of  2571.10 Crore for the second quarter of FY 2019-20 (Jul-Sep, 2019), an increase of 9% against 2348.25 Crore reported during the corresponding quarter ended September 30, 2018.
 
Total Income (Turnover) for second quarter (Jul-Sep, 2019) rose to 9260.46 Crore, up by 6% from 8718.20 Crore in the corresponding quarter ended September 30, 2018. 
 
Total Income for first half of financial year 2019 - 20 rose to 18622.18 Crore, an increase of 9% over 17094.68 Crore reported during the corresponding half year ended September 30, 2018.On a standalone basis, POWERGRID had registered a net profit of 4955.03 Crore on a total Income (turnover) of 18411.55 Crore during the half year ended September 30, 2019.
 
POWERGRID’s physical assets as on September 30, 2019 include more than 160,937 ckm Transmission Lines, 244 Sub-Stations with transformation capacity of more than 383,273 MVA.
