Coal India MCL IPO: DRHP Filed for 66.18 Crore Share OFS
New Delhi: Coal India Limited (CIL) has announced that its wholly owned subsidiary Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL) has filed its Draft Red Herring Prospectus (DRHP) for a proposed Initial Public Offering (IPO).
According to CIL’s regulatory filing dated September 2, 2026, the DRHP dated September 1, 2026, was filed with SEBI, BSE and NSE.
MCL IPO Details
The proposed IPO will comprise an Offer for Sale (OFS) of up to 661,836,300 equity shares.
The shares have a face value of ₹2 each and are currently held by Coal India Limited.
Under the proposed offer, CIL would sell shares in MCL through the OFS.
IPO Still Subject to Approvals
Coal India clarified that the proposed MCL IPO remains subject to applicable approvals, prevailing market conditions and other relevant considerations.
The company made the disclosure under Regulation 30 of the SEBI (LODR) Regulations, 2015.
The filing was signed by B. P. Dubey, Company Secretary and Compliance Officer, Coal India Limited.
