Once built, the proposed siding will provide direct railway access to Jaigarh Port. This will allow for easier and faster transport of containers, bulk cargo, and liquid cargo. The project is expected to greatly improve the port's capacity to handle third-party cargo from Maharashtra's inland areas. It fits into the company's long-term growth plan.
