PowerGrid signed MoU with NIT Durgapur

POWERGRID has not only been at the forefront of power transmission but also at the helm of transforming lives through social initiatives which support Rural Development, Education, Healthcare, Skill Development, Environment, Drinking Water, Water Conservation, Sanitation and Sustainability. 

In line with its commitment, POWERGRID has signed an MoU with the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Durgapur to install a 1.07 MW rooftop on-grid solar plant on its campus as part of a CSR effort of POWERGRID.

The MoU was signed by Shri Amitava Barat, ED (ER-II), POWERGRID, and Prof. Arvind Choubey, Director NIT, in the presence of Shri Naveen Srivastava, Director (Operations) POWERGRID & senior officials. The director (Operations) interacted with students and encouraged them to innovate for green and sustainable future.
