SECL signs Rs 48.19 crores MoU with NIT Raipur under CSR

New Delhi: One of the largest Coal Producing subsidiaries of Coal India Limited (CIL), the South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL) signed an MoU with National Institute of Technology, Raipur for building a girls hostel under CSR. The 500 bedded girls hostel will be built at cost of Rs 48.19 crores fully funded by SECL under its CSR.

During the MoU signing ceremony  Smt. Santosh, DDG, Ministry of Coal, SECL Director (Personnel) Shri Biranchi Das, Dr. NV Ramana Rao, Director, NIT Raipur, Shri Alok Srivastava, GM (Civil/Welfare/CSR), senior officials and professors of the Institute and senior officers from SECL CSR department were present on this occasion.

This project, designed with provisions for future expansion, will offer a secure and comfortable living environment for female students.
