Puducherry Govt Examines Extension of 7th CPC Pay Scales to PSUs
Puducherry Finance Department seeks details from departments to assess feasibility of extending 7th Pay Commission benefits to PSUs and autonomous bodies.

Puducherry | December 2025: The Government of Puducherry has initiated an exercise to examine the feasibility of extending 7th Central Pay Commission (CPC) revised pay scales
to Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs), Autonomous Bodies, Boards, Corporations and Societies that are still following the 6th CPC pay structure. In this regard, the Finance Department has asked all administrative departments to furnish detailed information on employee strength, pay scales, service conditions, financial implications and funding capacity of the concerned institutions.
The required particulars, in the prescribed proforma, must be submitted on or before 31 December 2025. The move aims to assess the financial viability and implementation framework for extending revised pay benefits to eligible employees.
