UP to soon get Biotechnology Industrial Park in Lucknow

Chief Minister Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath and Union Science & Technology Minister laid the foundation stone and performed the Bhumi Pujan of a state-of-the-art "Green Data Centre", which is a joint pact of Central Electronics Limited (CEL), a Govt of India PSU under the Ministry of Science and Technology and ESDS at Sahibabad, Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh.
The project of 30 MW capacity is a major investment government of about Rs 1,000 crore.

The government has declared about the planning for the establishment of a Biotechnology Industrial Park in Lucknow and the hosting of a Startup Conclave in Uttar Pradesh after the Independence Day celebrations which underscores the state's growing prominence as an innovation and entrepreneurship hub.
The Green Data Centre is specifically designed to put strong focus on minimizing environmental impact and integrating energy efficiency and it involves the use of energy efficient technologies, renewable energy sources, and sustainable practices to reduce carbon footprint and resource consumption.

The Green Data Centre is equipped with a network of 40 Gbps ring fibre, including multiple ISPs and offering dual 10 Gbps links, facilitating cloud integration and disaster recovery applications.
The centre is aligned with green infrastructure formula which includes rainwater harvesting, reflective roofing, and smart cooling systems, making it energy efficient and environmentally responsible.
Further, it will attract startups, enterprises, and government agencies, generate skilled jobs, and promote local innovation.
