IFCI Limited Appoints Shri Rajeev Sachdev as Additional Director
IFCI Limited has announced the appointment of Shri Rajeev Sachdev, a financial veteran with over 37 years of experience from LIC, as its new Additional Director. The move strengthens the company's board with his expertise in the financial sector.
New Delhi, IFCI Limited, a government-owned development finance institution, announced the appointment of Shri Rajeev Sachdev as an Additional Director (Non-Executive-Non-Independent) on its Board of Directors, effective August 25, 2025. This decision is expected to strengthen the company's leadership with Sachdev’s extensive experience in the financial services sector.

Shri Sachdev brings over 37 years of service with the Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC). He holds a B.Sc. in Physics and has held key roles in various departments, showing a deep understanding of the insurance industry, housing finance, and credit cards. His career at LIC began on February 22, 1988, as a Direct Recruit Officer. Since then, he has worked in different positions across branch, divisional, and zonal offices, as well as the corporate office.
Before taking on his role at IFCI, Shri Sachdev also worked with LIC Housing Finance Limited and served as an Insurance Ombudsman. He is now the Director and Chief Executive of LIC Cards Services Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of LIC of India.
His leadership and technical skills, developed through a range of roles, are expected to provide valuable insights for IFCI's strategic initiatives and growth. The company has confirmed that Shri Sachdev is not barred from holding the office of Director by any regulatory authority and is not related to any existing Director on the Board.
