IRSE officer S.C. Jain to take additional charge of RVNL CMD
The Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) advertised the post of Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) for Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) on April 22, 2025.

New Delhi, 25 August 2025: The Ministry of Railway has decided to approve the appointment of Shri S.C. Jain, IRSE, AM/L&A, Railway Board, to the post of Chairman and Managing Director of Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd. (RVNL). The approval has been made for an additional charge in addition to his own serving post.
According to the exchange filing made, the post of CMD, Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd. (RVNL), will fall vacant on 01.09.25 with the superannuation of the present incumbent, Shri Pradeep Gaur, on 31.08.25, his date of birth being 05.08.65.

The PESB is a body that governs the management appointments for central public sector enterprises like RVNL. The appointment will be made w.e.f. the date of assumption of charge, on or after 01.09.25, and until further orders.
Mr. Jain’s qualifications are BTech (Civil) and MTech. He belongs to the Indian Railway Service Engineers (IRSE) officer of the 1988 batch and has over 28 years of rich and varied experience in railways.
