Justice J. Nisha Banu Directed to Join Kerala High Court by December 20, 2025
The President of India has directed Justice J. Nisha Banu to assume charge as Judge of the Kerala High Court on or before December 20, 2025.

New Delhi: The President of India has directed Smt. Justice J. Nisha Banu, Judge of the Madras High Court, to assume charge of her office as a Judge of the Kerala High Court on or before December 20, 2025.
The direction follows the earlier notification dated October 14, 2025, which transferred Justice J. Nisha Banu from the Madras High Court to the Kerala High Court.
Presidential Direction
According to a notification issued by the Ministry of Law and Justice, Department of Justice, the decision has been taken by the President after consultation with the Chief Justice of India, in accordance with constitutional provisions governing judicial appointments and transfers.

The notification has been issued vide No. K.11017/12/2025-US.I/II, dated December 12, 2025, and will be published in the Gazette of India, Part I, Section 2.
