Major Shake-up at ONGC: PESB Picks Satyan Kumar for Top Strategy Role
New Delhi, February 20, 2026: The Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) has recommended Shri Satyan Kumar for the post of Director (Strategy & Corporate Affairs) at Oil & Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC), a Schedule 'A' Central Public Sector Enterprise. The recommendation was made during the PESB meeting No. 13/2026 held at 08:45 AM on February 20, 2026.

About the Recommended Candidate:
Shri Satyan Kumar is currently serving as Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer of ONGC Green Limited, a subsidiary of ONGC. His extensive experience in strategy and green energy initiatives positions him well for the key role of Director (Strategy & Corporate Affairs) at India's largest oil and gas exploration and production company.
Next Steps:
The PESB recommendation will now be forwarded to the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) for final approval. Upon receiving the ACC's concurrence, Shri Satyan Kumar will assume charge as Director (Strategy & Corporate Affairs) on the Board of ONGC.
