Shri A.K. Balasubramanian appointed as Chairman of Atomic Energy Regulatory Board

New Delhi: The Appointment Committee of the Cabinet has approved the appointment of Shri A.K. Balasubramanian to the post of Chairman of Atomic Energy Regulatory Board (AERB) for a period of three years from the date of assumption of charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

This appointment will replace Shri Dinesh Kumar Shukla who will complete his tenure on 31.12.2025. Accordingly, Shri Dinesh Kumar Shukla will handover charge of the post of Chairman AERB to Shri A.K. Balasubramanian.

Currently, he is serving as Chairman of Project Design Safety Committee for Pressurized Heavy Water Reactor based NPPs, Member Safety Review Committee for Operating Plants, AERB, Mumbai and former Director (Technical) and Distinguished Scientist at NPCIL.
