NTPC Names Thermal Engineering Expert Deepak as Executive Director
New Delhi, June 2026: NTPC Limited has appointed Deepak as Executive Director with effect from June 8, 2026, as part of the company's latest senior management appointments.
The appointment has been made in accordance with Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015. Deepak is among the 34 officials elevated to the position of Executive Director within the company.
Over Three Decades of Experience at NTPC
Deepak joined NTPC Limited on March 15, 1993, and has served the organization for more than 33 years. During his long tenure, he has contributed significantly to key functions in Engineering and Operations & Maintenance (O&M).
His extensive experience in power plant operations and engineering management has played an important role in supporting the company's operational excellence and project execution capabilities.
Academic Background
Deepak holds an M.Tech degree in Thermal Engineering, providing him with strong technical expertise and a deep understanding of power generation technologies.
Strengthening NTPC's Leadership Team
The elevation reflects NTPC's focus on leveraging experienced leadership to drive operational efficiency and support its growth plans across conventional and emerging energy businesses. With decades of industry experience, Deepak is expected to contribute to the company's strategic and operational objectives in his new role.
According to the company, his term as Executive Director will be for 2.50 years.
