PESB Picks Nirmal Kumar Singh of SAIL for Director (Finance) Post at MCL

New Delhi, June 17, 2026: The Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) has recommended Shri Nirmal Kumar Singh, currently serving as Chief General Manager at Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL), for the prestigious post of Director (Finance) at Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL), a Schedule-B CPSE under Coal India Limited.

The recommendation was made during PESB Meeting No. 48/2026, held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, June 17, 2026. A total of 11 senior executives from leading public sector enterprises appeared before the selection board for the coveted position.

Nirmal Kumar Singh Emerges Successful Among 11 Candidates

After evaluating the candidates, PESB recommended the name of Shri Nirmal Kumar Singh, who currently holds the position of Chief General Manager at SAIL.
