PESB Recommends Valli Natarajan as Director Projects of IREDA
New Delhi: The Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) on Monday recommended Ms. Valli Natarajan, Executive Director at REC Limited, for appointment as Director (Projects) of Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Limited (IREDA), a Schedule-A Central Public Sector Enterprise.
Ms. Natarajan is currently serving as Executive Director, REC Limited, one of India’s leading power sector financial institutions under the Ministry of Power, and oversees key renewable energy and infrastructure financing portfolios.
The decision was taken during the PESB’s selection meeting held at 4:30 PM on January 12, 2026, under the Department of Personnel & Training, Government of India, following interviews of senior executives from leading power and infrastructure PSUs.

A total of 11 top executives were interviewed for the prestigious post, including officials from IREDA, REC, PFC, IOCL, NMDC, IWAI and HPSEBL:

After a detailed evaluation process, the PESB unanimously recommended Ms. Natarajan for the position.
The recommendation will now be forwarded to the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) for final approval.
IREDA plays a critical role in financing India’s renewable energy transition, supporting projects across solar, wind, hydro, green hydrogen and emerging clean technologies, making the appointment strategically significant for India’s clean energy ambitions.
