PESB Recommends Vamsi Rama Mohan Burra as CMD of Power Grid Corporation

New Delhi, December 13, 2025: The Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) has recommended Shri Vamsi Rama Mohan Burra for appointment to the post of Chairman & Managing Director (CMD) of Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID), a Schedule ‘A’ Central Public Sector Enterprise.

The recommendation was made during the PESB Meeting No. 118/2025, held at 1:30 PM on Saturday, December 13, 2025.

The PESB recommendation will now be forwarded to the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) for final approval.

The appointment, once approved, is expected to strengthen POWERGRID’s leadership as it continues to play a vital role in India’s power transmission and infrastructure development.
