New Delhi, 13 September 2025: The Public Enterprise Selection Board (PESB) recommended the name of Shri Kishore Gurdasani for the post of Director (Operations), Advanced Weapons and Equipment India Limited, a (Schedule A) company. The meeting was held on 13.09.2025, and the Board has shortlisted 5 applicants.
Shri Akhilesh Kumar Maurya has been serving currently as Director (Operations) at AWEIL along with the additional charge of Chairman and Managing Director post till July 2025. After his transfer, Shri Umesh Singh, CMD, has assumed the additional charge of Director (Operations). Shri Kishore Gurdasani is an Executive Director/Operations (HAG NFU) in AWEIL HQ in Kanpur, Defence (M/O).
Advanced Weapons and Equipment India Limited (AWEIL), an Indian public sector defense undertaking, is headquartered in Kanpur and primarily manufactures small arms and artillery guns for the Indian Armed Forces, foreign militaries, and domestic civilian use.
