Shri Manoj Kumar Appointed as Chief Personnel Officer at Konkan Railway Corporation Ltd

New Delhi: The Government of India, through the Ministry of Railways (Railway Board), has issued an official order dated 20 May 2026 announcing the appointment of Shri Manoj Kumar, RBSS, as Chief Personnel Officer (CPO) at Konkan Railway Corporation Ltd. (KRCL) on an immediate absorption basis.

Shri Manoj Kumar, who was serving as Joint Secretary (Parliament), Railway Board, has been approved for this new assignment at Belapur, Navi Mumbai. The order directs that he be relieved from his present duties to enable him to assume the new role at KRCL.

As part of the appointment process, the competent authority has accepted his technical resignation from Railway service, which will take effect from the date he formally joins Konkan Railway Corporation Ltd. Confirmation of his joining will be issued once received by the Railway Board.

The order further specifies that the officer is required to join KRCL within 15 days from the date of issuance of the letter, in accordance with Department of Pension & Pensioners’ Welfare guidelines. In the event that he is unable to join KRCL for any reason, he is required to report back to the Railway Board within the same 15-day period.

This appointment places Shri Manoj Kumar in charge of personnel and human resource functions at Konkan Railway Corporation Ltd., strengthening leadership at the organization responsible for operating and managing the strategically significant Konkan Railway network.
