Shri Naveen Kumar gets additional charge to fill vacant post of CMD at Braithwaite & Company Ltd

NEW DELHI: The government has decided to approve the pending approval of the Competent Authority to designate the additional charge of the post of Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of Braithwaite & Company Ltd (BCL) shall be entrusted to Shri Naveen Kumar, IRSEE, PCEE, South Eastern Railway in addition to his own. The appointment has been made with effect from the date of assumption of charge and till appointment of a regular incumbent to the post or until further orders.

This appointment has been made to fill the vacant place of Shri Md. Asad Aslam who has recently resigns as CMD of BCL in December 2025.

Shri Naveenn Kumar is a distinguished Officer of the Indian Railway Service of Electrical Engineers (1992 Batch).

As an Electrical Engineer by profession, Shri Kumar's journey is marked by numerous significant milestones and accomplishments. His tenure within the Railway Board and various Zonal Railways, including holding pivotal positions such as Joint Secretary and Executive Director-Establishment (Gazetted Cadre), underscores his remarkable contributions to the sector.
