As per the official notice issued last year, "Usually, the recommendations of the pay commissions are implemented after a gap of every ten years. Going by this trend, the effect of the 8th Central Pay Commission recommendations would normally be expected from 01.01.2026."

However, the commission is still working on the decision implementation and is pending for further approvals which would be clear after the Union Cabinet will approve the recommendations.

Therefore the salary increment of 25-30 percent for the government employees is still in the wait list and is likely to get implemented soon after the government decision.
