SJVN Employees Contributed One Day Salary Rs. 45 Lakh To CM Relief Fund

Shimla: Sh. Nand Lal Sharma, Chairman and Managing Director, SJVN handed over a cheque of Rs. 45 Lakh to Hon’ble Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh, Sh. Jairam Thakur. The cheque was presented in the august presence of Director(Electrical) Sh. R.K. Bansal, Director(Personnel) Smt. Geeta Kapur, Director(Civil) Sh. S.P. Bansal and Director(Finance) Sh. A.K. Singh.

While handing over the cheque, Sh. Sharma apprised Hon’ble Chief Minister that SJVN and its employees have always stood with the State and its Government. He further said that SJVN and its employees recognize the gravity of situation arisen due to pandemic COVID-19 and have decided to donate one-day salary to CM Relief Fund.
 
Sh. Nand Lal Sharma informed that, employees of SJVN have already contributed one day salary to the PM CARES fund to combat the Corona challenge. He also informed that SJVN has also provided a financial support of more than Rs. 2 Crore to the Government of Himachal Pradesh. The financial support has been extended to procure ventilators, other medical equipment, Personal Protection Equipment (PPEs), masks, sanitizers & gloves in various hospitals of Government of Himachal Pradesh.
 
Sh. Sharma further informed that, SJVN has always been in forefront in supporting the society and the government for tackling various issues which affect the nation and fellow countrymen. To fight the COVID-19 spread. SJVN has also set up 48 quarantine units in its projects.  He further said that SJVN is also liberally extending support for distribution of food and other essential items to the needy.Sh. Sharma also said that to aid in battle against COVID-19, SJVN has contributed Rs. 25 Crore towards PM CARES Fund.
