A CSR initiative of NRL
New Delhi: As part of its CSR activities, NRL identified villages within 10 km of its refinery that lacked proper electricity and approached Assam Power Distribution Company Limited (APDCL) for grid connectivity while also exploring the opportunity for providing solar power. The Grid Electrification work has been taken up since 2015-16, covering 18 unelectrified villages that included 8 schools, 998 households and the people of 1no. Napathar, Rajabari Leteku Chapori road, Kaliyani Block Gaon and Model Village and Lakhipur.
