New Delhi: Aiport Authority of India Chairman Shri Sanjeev Kumar along with Shri A. K. Pathak, Member Planning visited Ayodhya Airport recently to review the progress in development work.

Moreover, a meeting was also scheduled with the DM of Ayodhya to discuss the land-related issues and extension of Runway for Phase-2 and Phase-3 expansion. The development works are being performed in the day and night shifts in order to complete the project as per the decided timeline.

The State Government signed a memorandum of understanding with the Airports Authority of India (AAI) in February 2014 for the development of the airport. As of April 2022, the airport is not operational. The government of Uttar Pradesh is providing extra land free of cost for further expansion and for the construction of a terminal.
