AAI discusses future roadmap for airport infrastructure

New Delhi: A meeting was convened by AAI to discuss the requirements for additional airport infrastructure based on the future expansion plans of the airline industry in India. The meeting was chaired by Dr. Sharad Kumar, Member (Operations), AAI and attended by airline representatives.

During the meeting, issues related to the future roadmap for the aviation sector in the country, including space for aprons, hangars, line maintenance, etc., were discussed.

AAI sought the input of the airline operators on various challenges they are facing.

AAI also briefed the forum about the infrastructure augmentation and development plans to match the projected growth in airline fleets. Airline representatives assured that they would share their future expansion plans and any other requirements with AAI.
