Mr. Atanu Bhowmick assumed as Director Incharge of SAIL’s RSP
Public Enterprises Selection Board on December 07, 2021, recommended the name of Atanu Bhowmick for the post of Director in charge.

New Delhi: Atanu Bhowmick on Friday, February 11, 2022, assumed the charge as Director Incharge of the first integrated steel plant in the public sector in India, Rourkela Steel Plant located in Rourkela, Odisha.
Public Enterprises Selection Board on December 07, 2021, recommended the name of Atanu Bhowmick for the post of Director in charge, at that time he was serving as the Executive Director (Works) of SAIL’s Bokaro Steel Plant (BSP).
Morevover, he has been serving his best since 1988, as he joined the Government steel production company SAIL after his graduation in B Tech in Metallurgical Engineering from NIT. He worked 29 years in the Blast Furnace Department of RSP where he served and learned many things.
His dedication took him to a higher level, and got promoted to the post of General Manager (renamed later as Chief General Manager) in the year 2016. Further in December 2018, Bhowmick took over as the charge and served as Head of Projects of RSP.
In October 2019 he was posted in Bokaro Steel Plant and elevated to the post of Executive Director.
