BEL CSR: Enhanced facilities for students at Cantonment Board School, Ayodhya
New Delhi: The Ghaziabad Unit of Bharat Electronics Limited, through its CSR initiatives, has enhanced the facilities for students at the Cantonment Board School at Ayodhya by providing e-Cart, computers, printer, sewing machines, ceiling fans and water-coolers with RO.
Mr Sankar Subramanian, Executive Director (Radar) & Unit Head, BEL-Ghaziabad, and Mrs Rashmi Kathuria, General Manager (SCCS), BEL-Ghaziabad, handed over the items during a small ceremony organised at the school recently.

Brig K Sanjeev Singh, President, Mr Yashpal Singh, IDES, CEO, Cantonment Board, Mrs Tara Devi, Principal of the School, Mrs Aparna Tiwari, Head, CSR, BEL-Ghaziabad, staff and students of the School were present.
The School has been operational since 1960 and is run by Cantonment Board, Ayodhya, for underprivileged children of nearby areas - Jamthara Ghat, Nirmal Kund, Lal Kurti, etc. There are 509 students in the School at present. The School is affiliated to the UP Board and had 100% pass last year. The School has its own playground, library, computer lab, and indoor playing facility for Nursery and outdoor playing area for other students.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Sankar Subramanian, Executive Director, BEL-Ghaziabad, said that students are the future of India and good early education would enable them for better life and business opportunities. Brig Sanjeev Singh appreciated BEL for its CSR contribution.
