BPCL collaborated with MoPNG to organize an insightful workshop on advancing the adoption of Compressed Biogas (CBG) as a sustainable energy solution. The event was held on 11th March 2024 at Bhopal, and brought together key stakeholders from various sectors to discuss the pivotal role of CBG in India's energy transition.
The workshop facilitated open dialogue among bank officials, CBG producers, entrepreneurs, technology providers, and representatives from organizations like the World Bank, Indian Biogas Association, and Oil and Gas marketing companies. Discussions focused on CBG's significance as a green fuel and its contribution to the SATAT initiative for Sustainable Alternative Towards Affordable Transportation.

Arun Kumar Director (GP-II) MoP&NG, in his address, emphasized on India's strategic vision for sustainable energy solutions and the crucial role of CBG in achieving these objectives and the challenges in setting up CBG plants, urging banking sector representatives to help address financing issues faced by CBG project proponents.
