Coal India has announced the record date for its first interim dividend for FY25, and the shares closed in the negative bias at Rs 461.15 per share, down 16.05 points or -3.36% against the previous close of Rs 477.20 per share. After correcting over 6 percent in the last week, shares of Coal India will soon trade ex-date for an interim dividend payout.

Also, the company announced the closure of its subsidiary CIL Solar PV Limited owing to highly competitive Solar Power Value Chain market dynamics.

Around 3.08 lakh shares changed hands against the two weeks’ average quantity of 2.04 lakh shares. “The date of payment of “1st Interim Dividend” for FY 2024-25 shall be by 24th Nov’ 2024,” as per the filing.

Further, the Board of Directors at its meeting held on date has inter alia, declared 1st Interim Dividend for the financial year 2024-25 @ Rs.15.75/- per share on the face value of Rs 10/- as recommended by the Audit Committee of CIL at its meeting held on date. The company has fixed Tuesday, 5th Nov’24 as the “Record Date” to declare 1st Interim Dividend on equity shares for the Financial year 2024-25. The date of payment of “1st Interim Dividend” for FY 2024-25 shall be by 24th Nov 2024, it added in the exchange filing made.

The dividend yield of the Maharatna company is 5.54% with an authorized market capitalization of Rs 2.84 lakh crore.
