GAIL's Director of Projects, Sh. Deepak Gupta, Addresses Pipeline Technology Conference 2023

NEW DELHI- Sh. Deepak Gupta, the Director of Projects at GAIL (India) Limited, participated as a panelist at the esteemed Pipeline Technology Conference 2023 held in Berlin, Germany. The conference focused on addressing one of the most pressing issues faced by the pipeline industry on 14 MAY 2023– the decarbonisation of operations.

During the panel discussion, Sh. Deepak Gupta emphasized the critical relevance of decarbonisation in the current global scenario. He highlighted the pivotal role that pipeline operators play in reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and underlined the significant contribution that alternative fuels, particularly Hydrogen and Compressed Bio Gas (CBG), can make in achieving decarbonisation objectives.

GAIL has recognized the potential of alternative fuels, especially Hydrogen and CBG, in driving decarbonisation efforts. The company is actively exploring and investing in projects related to these fuels, leveraging their clean and renewable characteristics to reduce carbon footprints across the value chain.
