IRCTC gets Governance now award for successfully implementing IT initiatives
New Delhi. Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC), a subsidiary of the government-controlled Indian Railways, has received recognition for successfully leveraging information technology initiatives that have positively transformed rail travel in the country.
IRCTC was conferred with a Certificate of Recognition for planning and successfully implementing various IT initiatives at the "Governance Now PSU Awards 2016", at a glittering ceremony held at New Delhi on October 14.
Shri P P Chaudhary, Minister of State, Ministry of Law and Justice & Ministry of Electronics and IT along with Shri Chaudhry Birender Singh, Minister, Ministry of Steel, gave away the award that was received by GM Singh, Group General Manager, IRCTC.
