DMRC was conferred with the national award for the empowerment of persons with disabilities
New Delhi: On the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, DMRC was conferred with the ‘National Award for the Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (Divyangjan)’ in recognition of creation of Barrier-Free environment for Divyangjan, at a ceremony held at Vigyan Bhawan.
In order to provide barrier-free services for Divyangjan, all Delhi Metro stations are provided with access facilities. DMRC follows all prescribed accessible features guidelines at its metro stations thereby ensuring accessible travel for persons with disabilities.
