ECL Commissions New Shovel in Chitra OCP
New Delhi: Eastern Coalfields Limited has commissioned the gigantic EX 1200V shovel in its Chitra OCP of SP mines.
With a 5.6 cubic meter bucket, the shovel will help increase excavation & work efficiency resulting in higher productivity. ECL-operated Chitra Coal Mine, this Opencast Project has a designed capacity of 2.5 MTPA, on a mining lease area of 780.80 ha.
The present project, renamed Chitra (East) OCP envisages the amalgamation of the existing mine workings and thereby augmenting the production level from 1.20 MTY to 2.50 MTY.
