Govt Engineers Head to Japan for 8-Week Water Supply Training – Fully Funded by JICA
The Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) has invited applications for an 8-week training program in Japan on water supply engineering. The best part? It is completely free.
This program is organized by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) in Sapporo, Hokkaido. The Japanese government will cover all expenses, including airfare, accommodation, and living costs.

Who Can Apply?
You are eligible if:

You are a waterworks engineer working with the central government, state government, or a public sector undertaking

You have 3 years experience (if you are a university graduate) OR 7 years experience (if you are a polytechnic graduate)

You have a degree or diploma in waterworks engineering

You can speak and understand English well (TOEFL CBT 200 or equivalent)

You are below 40 years of age (preferred)

What Will You Learn?
The training covers everything about water supply:

How to treat water and make it safe for drinking

How to find and stop water leaks

You will visit real water treatment plants, see how Japan manages its water, and learn from experts with decades of experience.
What Expenses Does JICA Cover?
JICA will pay for:

Medical care if you fall sick in Japan
But remember: JICA will NOT cover costs for any health issues you already had before coming to Japan, like diabetes, high blood pressure, or pregnancy.
