New Delhi, March 24, 2026: Hon’ble Union Minister of Mines, G. Kishan Reddy, along with Secretary (Mines) Piyush Goyal, launched the 7th Tranche of Critical & Strategic Mineral Auctions at the National DMF Summit 2026. The initiative is a significant step toward strengthening India’s mineral security and supporting the country’s technological and energy ambitions.

The tranche includes a diverse portfolio of critical minerals such as Rare Earth Elements (REE), Tungsten, Lithium, Graphite, Vanadium, Titanium, Glauconite, and Rock Phosphate. These resources are crucial for clean energy technologies, high-tech manufacturing, fertilizers, and other strategic sectors, underscoring India’s commitment to energy transition and technological self-reliance.

 

Transforming Mining and Resource Management

The National DMF Summit also spotlighted the District Mineral Foundation (DMF) as a transformative tool for inclusive development in mining-affected regions. DMF initiatives aim to improve livelihoods, provide infrastructure, and drive socio-economic progress in communities directly impacted by mining activities.
